This work was inspired by the landscapes of Pieter van Der Westhuizen, a distinguished South African artist that I had the pleasure of knowing while he was still alive. He used to let me sit in his studio and talk to him while he painted.  I have tried to convey the feeling one would have when looking out on your homestead, your sheep, the baking sun and glorious trees.
 
This work was done with acrylics on a background heavily treated with pearl oxides, inks and Posca markers. The size is (A3) 297 x 420 on high-quality 350 GSM artist paper. Limited and Open Edition Prints are also available in (A1) 594 x 842, (A2) 420 x 594 and (A3) 297 x 420 on high-quality paper.
