This piece was inspired by my journey through depression and anxiety. The dark shadows represent trauma, CPTSD, self harm obsessions and the black empty day-to-day existence of someone unable to move out of bed. The yellow universe is the desired life of light and love. The movement towards the light is the ongoing daily practice of striving towards self. My art is part of that healing practice.
