HIPPIE ‘FAGUXE’ WARTHOG - LIMITED EDITION

If you go on a Safari in Africa you will hear the game rangers talking on the radio in a mix of Shangaan and Zulu - it’s called Safari slang.

Faguxe (pronounced far-goo-click-eh) is the name for the Warthog. These comical creatures are also known as Flatpigs or Bushpigs. Warthogs are social animals and live in groups called sounders. Females live in sounders with their young and with other females. Females tend to stay in their natal groups, while males leave, but stay within the home range. Subadult males associate in bachelor groups but live alone when they become adults. Their grunts or snorts are used to communiate greetings, alarm, warnings or courtship. They are often seen running in their sounders with their tails in the air like an aerial.

I saw many of these comical creatures while I was recently in the bush - some up close and personal.
